  • 2011

    2011

    Company Founded, 6 Units Under Management.
    RPS had humble beginnings, starting with the purchase of a few long-term contracts and a website for $3,000. The company ran out of Scott Duke and Eve Northmore's spare bedroom while it got off the ground.
  • 2012

    2012

    Licensed by Real Estate Council of BC, 24 Units Under Management
    Along with notable growth, RPS was licensed to provide property management services in the province of BC by the Real Estate Council.
  • 2013

    2013

    First Staff Hired, 56 Units Under Management
    By mid-2013 RPS outgrew the home office and moved into office space shared with the radio station Stoke FM and an administrator was brought onboard to handle the extra workload.

    Licensed as Independent Brokerage and for Strata Services & Vacation Rentals, 75 Units Under Management
    RPS made a major step and was licensed by the real estate council of BC to operate independently as its own brokerage. Additionally, strata management licensing was acquired by the managing broker Scott Duke, in anticipation of increased condo development in Revelstoke.Acknowledging the need for short-term rental management, RPS, started Revelstoke Vacation Rentals as a separate division.

    Expansion of Office and Company, 112 Units Under Management
    RPS doubles their office space, expands into commercial management and adds a cleaning division to the organization.

    2015

    Partnership with BC Housing, 145 Units Under Management
    RPS partnered with Community Connections and BC Housing to manage Revelstoke's largest affordable housing building Monashee Court.
  • 2016

    2016

    Partnership with Revelstoke Community Housing Society, 164 Units Under Management
    RPS takes on the management of the newly developed Oscar Street properties owned by the Revelstoke Community Housing Society.

    Systemization, 178 Units Under Management
    In 2016, the City of Revelstoke passed new bylaws restricting vacation rentals across the community. The short-term effect was a reduction of our vacation rental business by 25% with a commitment to promoting the development and management of licensed, legally operating vacation rentals.

    2018

    New Owners and leadership, 190 Units Under Management
    In June the company was sold to Western Trust and Nico Leenders was hired as the new GM. A leader in ski town property management, Western Trust owns similar businesses in Whistler, Mont-Tremblant, Jackson Hole, Park City, Aspen and Vail. Through shared best practices and strong leadership, Revelstoke Property Services has benefited immensely in this transition.
